Chelsea transfer rumours have been circulating here in the Transfer Tavern since the realisation that the club had nothing to play for, and the speculation have only intensified with the announcement that Conte will take over as manager next season.
Reports have surfaced that the Blues are looking to acquire 25-goal striker Spanish international Alvaro Morata from Juventus this summer.
The Blues have not had consistent production up top this year and are in need of goal scoring threats. Arsenal has been targeting Morata for some time as well, but with the addition of Conte, Chelsea appears to be the frontrunners to sign the 23-year-old.
Morata certainly won’t be the only signing of Conte’s first transfer window, as much more talent is likely to join the Italian international coach in London.

Simone Zaza
Another striker from Juventus could also be on his way to West London.
While he has not had the playing time he may have hoped for in Turin this season, the 24-year-old still has a lot to offer on the pitch.
Conte is a big fan of Zaza’s style of play and knows he could thrive like he did while at Sassoulo.
Radja Nainggolan
While Roma continues to deny claims that they will sell the Belgian international to Chelsea, they’ve also admitted that every player has their price.
Conte has expressed interest in the 27-year-old midfielder, valued at around £30m and Roma director Walter Sabbatini was recently spotted outside of Stamford Bridge.
Arturo Vidal
Vidal played a key role in Conte’s three Serie A titles while that Chilean was at Juventus.
The 28-year-old could replace one of the underperforming stars at Chelsea that the Blues are likely to sell this summer.
Bayern Munich paid £31m for Vidal and Chelsea will likely have to pay more than that to lure him away from the Bundesliga.
Mats Hummels
Conte was able to generate one of the best back fours in his three title winning seasons at The Old Lady.
Chelsea have a lot of young defensive talent at Stamford Bridge, but with the departure of John Terry, they could use a mature centre back like Hummels, before the new era of young defenders like Miazga and Baba Rahman are ready for consistent first team play.
Sergio Ramos
Similarly, the Blues need to prepare for life without Branislav Ivanovic.
The 32-year-old could be replaced by the recently transitioned centre back Sergio Ramos.
The Spaniard could be play a part in another stone wall of a back four for Conte.
