The Transfer Tavern is hosting its quarterly race night this evening and a host of fans from many teams are taking part.
As the evening goes on the landlord notices a group of Chelsea fans in the corner having quite a deep discussion about the club’s future.
Since the sacking of Jose Mourinho and the arrival of interim manager Guus Hiddink speculation has been rife with regards to who will be in charge of the club come next season.
The usual suspects have been mentioned Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, Diego Simeone to name but a few but our landlord here at the tavern has got involved in the discussion now.
He set the Chelsea fans a challenge to name five current Premier League managers they think could take the reigns at the club come the summer.
After some long drawn out conversations and arguments the following are the five names they have come up with.

Mark Hughes
The current Stoke City manager is one who the Chelsea fans have admired from a distance for sometime.
Being an ex Chelsea player towards the tail end of his playing days he will know exactly what is expected and his fiery nature could see him becoming a popular choice with the fans.
He has so far had a successful season to date with Stoke City leading them to a Semi Final defeat in the Capital One Cup earlier this week.
He also has the eye for a player having signed the likes of Afellay, Shaqiri and Arnautovic to name a few.
Claudio Ranieri
The Italian has enhanced his reputation once more this season, taking over at Leicester City during the summer and leading them to the top of the Premier League table.
Ranieri is also no stranger to the fans at Stamford Bridge spending four years as the club’s manager between 2000-2004.
He earnt the name tinker man during that spell as he would frequently change his starting lineup.
He was relieved of his duties as Chelsea manager after much speculation about his future and replaced by Jose Mourinho and the rest as they say is history.
Mauricio Pochettino
The current Tottenham Hotspur manager has again enhanced his reputation as a leading Premier League manager and has his side well in the mix to fight for the title come May.
The Argentinian has a reputation of fast flowing attacking football, an asset which encouraged the board at Tottenham to make a move to bring him to the club from Southampton.
Pochettino is also not afraid to test young players and bring them through to the first team, which could also appeal to Abramovich who would like to see more results from the youth team representing the club.
Alan Pardew
Pardew is another name the Chelsea fans in the tavern thought might be worth considering for the post.
The experienced Englishman has had his fair share of ups and downs during his career but many feel that he should be given the chance to manage one of the top sides in the Premier League.
Although many Newcastle fans will disagree Pardew worked wonders at the club under difficult circumstances within the club.
But since joining Crystal Palace he has breathed new life into what was a struggling side his aides full blooded desire and passion could appeal at Chelsea and if they want to take a chance on someone maybe Pardew is the man.
Eddie Howe
One of England’s youngest mangers and I think it’s fair to say a future England manager in waiting.
The 38 year old has taken Bournemouth from the foot of League Two with a deficit of minus 17 points to the Premier League in just 7 seasons.
One of the most talented tactical minds, Howe could be an outside bet for the top job at Stamford Bridge.
During his managerial career Howe has managed 358 games and won 169 giving him a win percentage of 47.2%.
Woukd Abramovich make a move for Howe it remains to be seen but he could pay over the odds for an experienced international manager and be let down so surely Howe is worth a try.
