Punters have been waiting all summer to see if Jose’s pursuit of Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney would prove to be successful and with a few days left, that prospect looks to be fading and fast.
I was pouring a pint for a regular, when I went off in a bit of a daydream and thought ‘What if Chelsea don’t get Rooney or worse, don’t get any striker at all?’
I was brought back from my daydream, thanks to pint overflowing up my arm, and decided to open the question to the tavern’s regular punters about what Chelsea should do if they don’t get Wazza.
My favourite response was “Oh, I feel so bad for them; only having Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku.”
