A £10.5 Bid Proves ‘Arry Can’t Even Win A One Horse Race

The name Leandro Damiao has been heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur during the start of the summer, and after having a £10.5m bid previously rejected by Internacional, it appears Harry Redknapp will have to up his offer to land the Brazilian frontman.

Goal.com last month revealed club president Giovanni Luigi had turned down the offer and insisted the player will only leave the club at the end of the year and for a much higher fee.

He pointed out “It was the first concrete offer we’ve had. I told them that I didn’t want to sell now. I think they’ll return with a new offer “

The six foot plus danger man has been tipped by fellow compatriot Sandro, who has urged the club to make a move for his former team mate.

Barcelona are also believed to be snooping around the striker but it is thought spurs are in a stronger position to sign Damiao, due to their connection with the club.

Damiao is certain to be named in Brazil’s squad for the upcoming Copa America and Harry is keen to return with a knockout offer that will see the 21 year old sign on the dotted line and complete a move to North London as early as next week.
