It’s a new season but the same old Arsenal much to the disbelief of the Gunners in the Transfer Tavern.
Arsene Wenger’s men have had an indifferent start to the season with an unconvincing win over Leicester being followed by a defeat away at Stoke City and our landlord believes Arsene Wenger really needs to tighten his defence if his side are going to achieve anything this season.
The need to tighten up the defence may create something of an opportunity for many of the fringe players of the Arsenal squad but our resident Gunners in the Tavern have stated that they feel the dead wood needs to leave the Emirates.
Though the defence remains an issue, our north London locals are keen to see more attacking flair brought to the Emirates.
It truly is an interesting debate and here are the Gunners’ fans thoughts over who Wenger should move for in the last few weeks…
Jean Michaël Seri

With athletic and energetic midfielders being the fashion of the Premier League in recent seasons, Arsenal fans may find Wenger going in for Jean Michaël Seri before the transfer window shuts.
The Ivorian’s move to Barcelona looks to have fallen through following the Spanish giant’s signing of Paulinho and the Gunners may benefit by bringing Seri to the Emirates.
Thomas Lemar

With Alexis Sanchez’s future still no clearer, Wenger will be keeping tabs on Thomas Lemar in case he needs to replace the Chilean superstar.
Monaco has seen an exodus from their squad this summer and although they won’t be happy to sell the young Frenchman, Arsenal may just have the financial power to muscle a deal through late in the window.
