With the transfer window fast approaching its deadline, Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are discussing which two players they’d like to see through the doors before September.

Spurs have only brought one new face in this window – central defender Davinson Sanchez from Ajax, having shipped out Kyle Walker and Frederico Fazio to Manchester City and Roma.

Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley has been linked to Spurs for the majority of this window.

Having been seeking a move away from Everton since the back end of last season to start a new challenge, Barkley seems set on a London move.

Reportedly Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in the midfielder.

Everton reportedly set a £50m at the start of the window but as the deadline draws closer and having been injured in recent weeks, that looks unlikely.

Barkley won’t walk into the first-team but with his pace and drive, he will give Pochettino something different to add to his trio behind Harry Kane.

Serge Aurier

With Kyle Walker’s move to Manchester City leaving the injured Trippier and young Kyle Walker-Peters as Spurs only options for the right back position, Pochettino will be wanting a player of real quality to challenge.

Bringing in Aurier will give exciting prospect Walker-Peters time to develop.

When Trippier comes back into the fold it will be a straight out battle for the first team spot.

With PSG looking to offload a few players, Spurs can capitalize on a player with Champions League experience, which could prove vital ahead of their campaign this season.
