After their performance vs Stoke, Wenger simply must keep these 2 players at the club next year

The Transfer Tavern Arsenal fans are ecstatic after keeping their top four hopes alive by smashing an unusually ‘soft’ Stoke side.

It all seemed done and dusted following the defeat to Spurs just two weeks ago, but Arsenal have somehow managed to salvage their season and are just one point behind fourth placed Liverpool.

With us all still unaware of Wenger’s future at the club, it is unclear what exactly has forced the players to pull together and fight till the bitter end.

Typically, Stoke have been a difficult side to play against for Arsenal, especially at the Bet365 Stadium.

However Arsenal seemed to be firing on all cylinders to put four goals past them whilst maintaining 58% of the possession.

It is difficult to single out just one player for their stand out performance, therefore here are TWO players our landlord has picked from today’s game that he feels Wenger MUST keep at the Emirates next season…

Petr Cech

Another clean sheet, another three points, another stand out performance for Petr Cech who was called to action several times against Stoke on Saturday.

Before Cech joined Arsenal, John Terry had stated that the goalkeeper would be worth at least 12 points to Arsenal, and it seems like he may well have been correct.

The 34-year-old Czech goalkeeper has been instrumental in the last three victories for Arsenal, by making crucial saves against Man Utd, Southampton and Stoke.

Many of which had been in the first half in which had the chances been scored, the game may have gone in a different direction.

With his presence and full command of his penalty area, he is one to keep for next season’s title challenge.

Alexis Sanchez

With time running out on his contract, Arsenal and Wenger will need to move fast in order to retain his services.

Proving his worth AGAIN where he assisted and scored a goal in the Stoke game.

The Chilean forward is arguably Arsenal’s most influential player and it would be a genuine “crime” as some of the fans at the bar were saying.

Sanchez has repeatedly carved opponents open and Stoke fell victim to this when he slotted a pass through four opposition players to find Mesut Ozil, who calmly found the net.

His passion, work rate and pure skill means that the Gunners must do WHATEVER it takes to keep hold of him.
