Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have had their dreams shattered today, after they heard comments from the agent of a world superstar.
Ronaldo is a legend at Old Trafford after a vastly successful spell that ran until 2009, where he joined Real Madrid for a world-record fee, and United have held hopes of bringing the Portuguese superstar back to the Premier League ever since.
However, Jorge Mendes has ruled out any exit for his high-profile client as he said:
“It is impossible. He will end his career at Real Madrid.”
United also face competition for Ronaldo’s signature, with The Telegraph stating the multiple-time Ballon D’Or winner is more likely to join Paris Saint-Germain than the Red Devils.
Ronaldo has scored 13 goals this season but has been under-par in the big games, failing to find a net in the defeats to Sevilla and Barcelona whilst also failing to find the net against Atletico Madrid and two-legs against Paris Saint-Germain.
