And that’s because, according to reports by Sky Sports, Celtic are close to smashing their transfer record with the permanent capture of Odsonne Edouard – it is believed that the 20-year-old will cost the Bhoys around £9 million following his impressive loan spell.
Parent club Paris Saint-Germain had a deadline in place with the Hoops about completing a deal, which expires on Saturday, yet it looks as though the Glaswegians do not need it.
Edouard scored a number of key goals during their treble-winning season, including a number of vital goals against Rangers, and will no doubt add a great deal of attacking impetus to Rodgers’ squad for the 2018/19 campaign.

The striker has been tipped to have a bright future, and the locals in the bar will be hoping the youngster can improve on his first year at the Hoops and thus prove his hefty price-tag this summer.
