There are many panicking Boro fans at present drowning their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern.

And who can blame them, the Teeside club have not won in 10 Premier League fixtures meaning they have not won a league game in 2017, a statistic that has seen them drop to 19th in the Premier League table putting them in excessive danger of being relegated come May.

Our landlord is also worried for Aitor Karanka’s men because this is the time of shambolic display of form that can destroy a teams chances in the Premier League, and the visit of Manchester United on Sunday means that the games will not get any easier for Boro as they look to avoid the drop.

It seems that all Karanka can do is rotate his side and really find the players who want to fight for the club’s jersey, though it would be harsh to say that everyone associated with the club is hurting by this run of form.

The manager must find the players that want to change the tide for Boro and our resident Middlesbrough punters in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t agree more.

Though in possession of unbelievable talent, Traore simply hasn’t performed for Boro this season and has only contributed one assist across 20 appearances this season.

The former Barcelona trainee surely must be dropped by Karanka in order to regain Middlesbrough’s top flight status.

George Friend

Since Friend’s reintroduction to the Boro side, their performances simply have not been good enough and Karanka surely must reintroduce Fabio and Antonio Barragán as his first choice full back options.

Our landlord feels that the recent glut of goals conceded by Boro has stimulated from Friend’s reintroduction, and the left back must be dropped to enhance the Teeside club’s survival chances.
