Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr is weighing up an offer that “can’t be refused” for Chelsea fullback Marc Cucurella. Spanish publication Marca has reported that the club is undergoing a front office reorganization process with Christiano Ronaldo and coach Jorge Jesus at the forefront of the recruiting strategy.
Cucurella is the name highest on the list, and Al-Nassr is prepared to go all out to get their man. The amount of the bid has not been revealed but it will likely take some doing to get Chelsea to consider selling.
Cucurella has been a key man for Chelsea in their Europa Conference League and Club World Cup triumphs. The Spaniard joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2022, and after an uncertain first season he has grown into an integral part of the Chelsea set up.
He appeared in all but two of Chelsea’s Premier League games last season, scoring five goals and providing one assist. The 27-year-old has three years remaining on his contract.
Al-Nassr plotting Cucurella bid

Al-Nassr are closing in on Cucurella’s Chelsea teammate Joao Felix, after agreeing a £43.7m deal for the forward. The 25-year is due to travel to Riyadh in the coming days for his medical and to complete his move, and the Saudi club are hoping Cucurella follows him to the club.
Al-Nassr are looking to rebuild their squad after a frustrating third place finish last season. The club have surprisingly not won any silverware following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2023 and will be hoping their new front office shake up will lead to strong recruitment.
Ronaldo himself is understood to be leading the charge for Cucurella, but will have his work cut out convincing the defender to jump ship.
Cucurella earned special praise from manager Enzo Maresca after Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final earlier this month. Maresca lauded the player’s intelligence on the pitch, saying Cucurella will be the “soul” of the Chelsea players’ celebration party.
