According to a recent update by reliable Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold, star winger Gareth Bale is making significant strides in training ahead of his Premier League debut.

Bale, who returned to north London in a headline-grabbing deal over the transfer window, could now be very close to his return to action, with Gold issuing a promising update on his progress so far.
The Bale latest from Gold
There were even suggestions that he could have been ready for a place on the bench at Manchester United last week during Spurs’ 6-1 hammering of the Red Devils, but Tottenham apparently wanted to be better safe than sorry.
With his return drawing near, football.london journalist Gold has claimed that staff and players alike have been ‘blown away’ by the 31-year-old and there were even reports he could make his return to action against West Ham next weekend.
Regardless of his return date, that he is already impressing without even kicking a ball could be promising news for Spurs fans, especially after a transfer window to remember. Alongside Bale, the club also landed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon and Carlos Vinicius.
Transfer Tavern take
A Lilywhites legend, Bale has perhaps been the cherry on top of Tottenham’s transfer cake, and the opportunity to sign him for half his salary on a season-long loan was too good to resist.
Spurs could well make his stay longer, too, with it all depending on how he fares back in the English top flight after a seven-year absence from Premier League football.
Given this latest update from Gold, Lilywhites could be buzzing at the return of their hero.
