The current pandemic appears to have brought out the worst in some people.
As the United Kingdom, along with the rest of the world, attempts to get to grips with this difficult situation, not everyone has kept calm amongst the chaos. There has been plenty of reports of people hoarding items such as food and hand sanitizer, whilst others have failed to respect social distancing regulations.
Some footballers, too, have struggled to cover themselves in glory. Jack Grealish, for example, was involved in a car crash after leaving Ross McCormack’s house.
However, others appear to be understanding the gravity of the situation and are using their privileged position to help those in need, such as Alfredo Morelos. According to Michael Gorman, the Colombian has donated over £75,000 to support those in his homeland during the current crisis and in the last year has now given over £300,000.

Unsurprisingly, the Rangers fans are delighted with the generosity from a man who has his fair share of newspaper critics, and they have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. One labelled it a ‘fantastic gesture‘ whilst another called him a ‘wee hero‘.
Here is what some had to say…
What a classy humble guy Alfredo is 👏👏👏

Brilliant news, the boy has a heart of gold, the scottish media tried so hard to destroy him, he’s a young man with a wife & child on the way, it’s sad how he’s been treated in this country, big love for him & his family 💙 think of all those children he’s helped, amazing
