With the likes of Mario Balotelli already leaving Anfield this summer and fellow countryman Fabio Borini set on joining him, Liverpool may find themselves short of a striker in the coming months of this season.
That in mind, there are some pretty unhappy Liverpool fans here inside the Transfer Tavern this evening – the Daily Star are reporting that Lazar Markovic will be exiting the Merseyside club in the next 24 hours, a long period at Turkish side Fenerbahce his reported destination
The 21-year old attacker only arrived at the club last summer – for a big fee of £20 million – but has struggled to replicate the sort of form that justified that hefty price tag.
There have been a few spilled pints in the tavern because of this one and our landlord had his say: “What a waste, he’s never really been given his chance – can’t get my head round why not personally!”
