Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are eager to see their side really press home the advantage they have at the moment as a club.
The Blues are on the brink of a domestic double, of course, and that would surely mean they have the potential to become the dominant force in this country if they get their decisions right in the transfer market.
Indeed, they’ll also surely be looking to become a force again in the Champions League and keeping the likes of Eden Hazard is going to be central to that.
And, it appears that the Belgian should be staying at Stamford Bridge with Antonio Conte saying – via The Guardian:
“I don’t think that this idea [to let Hazard leave] is in the mind of the club.
“I think we have to improve the team, to reinforce the team. But you know that, in football, there is also the will of the player.
“I think Eden is very happy to stay in Chelsea, to stay with us and work with us.”
Music to Chelsea fans’ ears then as Hazard has been, once again, integral to the club’s success so far this season.
Indeed, this year has been one of his best at the club and with him still having plenty of years left in the game, Chelsea will surely be eager to keep hold of him for as long as possible.
