Things haven’t been going too well for the Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern of late and the punters propping up our bar couldn’t quite believe what they were watching during the midweek home loss to Bournemouth.
Indeed, despite winning the Premier League title less than a year ago, the Blues in our bar now believe there’s a fight on even to finish in the top four this time around, especially with the speculation surrounding the future of manager, Antonio Conte.
To make matters worse, with the signing of Olivier Giroud and the inconsistent form of Alvaro Morata doing little to excite our west London locals, the fact that Michy Batshuayi bagged a brace on loan with Borussia Dortmund has annoyed them even further.
A popular figure amongst the Chelsea lot in our bar, the Belgian performing while out on loan in Germany is a frustrating sight indeed, considering the Blues’ recent struggle in front of goal. With that in mind, here’s a closer look at some of the reaction online.
