Fans of Arsenal and Manchester City in the Transfer Tavern have been handed a hefty below, with reports stating a prime-target is set to pen a deal elsewhere.
Spanish outlet Sport claim Pep Guardiola is ‘very close’ to signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich, which would rule-out a move to the Premier League for the Catalan boss at the end of the season.
Both Premier League sides have been heavily linked to Guardiola, with Arsenal identifying the former Barcelona boss as the ideal Arsene Wenger successor last year and reports last month suggesting Guardiola had agreed a deal to replace Manuel Pellegrini at City.
However, it seems both English sides will have to look elsewhere if they want a new boss to replace their current managers as Guardiola looks set to extend his stint with Bavarian giants Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga outfit are currently flying-high in German football and on the continent, with their only loss in normal time this season coming against Arsenal in the Champions League.
Arsenal fans, should you stick with Wenger until Guardiola becomes available? Let us know in the comments below!
