There is drama here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by the Daily Express that Arsenal are close to completing a move for Frenchman Yaya Sanogo.
The Auxerre forward has been on the radar of Frenchman Wenger for a while now and it seems that he will be moving to the Premier League as the summer approaches.
Wenger of course has been in the market for a forward and it seems that the 6 ft 3 in player is right up his street, providing something that the team do not currently have up top.
Arsenal are never out of the transfer columns as the summer approaches and given the recent links to Wayne Rooney and rumours of a £70 million transfer kitty not to mention the departures of certain players currently at the Gunners, it is of little shock. When asked about a deal for the forward, Wenger replied: “It is in the advanced stages but it is not done.” The player is currently an Under-21 international for France and has made nothing but a positive impression when playing for the junior Les Bleus ranks.
