Arsenal fans have been congratulating Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the forward was included in the FIFPro African team of the year.
The Gabon international enjoyed a brilliant second half of the season during the 2018/2019 campaign as he scored 16 goals from January onwards.
He carried on his good form when the new season began back in August as he notched up 15 goals, including a goal in the final game of the year against Chelsea.
Aubameyang was also one of the five players to be nominated for the player of the year award at last night’s CAF awards, however, finished behind Premier League rivals Sadio Mane, Riyadh Mahrez and Mohamed Salah.
His good form has seen him being linked with a move away from north London, however, he has since committed his future to the club.
Fans were sending congratulatory messages to the 30 year-old as they took to Twitter to react.
