Arsenal fans have been critical of midfielder Dani Ceballos after news of the injury he suffered in the 1-1 draw versus Vitoria S.C. emerged.
The club revealed that the Spain international sustained a hamstring injury in the Europa League game, and will be out of the weekend’s match against Leicester City (via Arsenal).
Ceballos has endured a frustrating time at the club since he notched up two assists in the game against Burnley earlier in the season, contributing to just one goal in 15 games since then (via Transfermarkt).
He adds to manager Unai Emery’s woes in the middle of the park, with Granit Xhaka having already been out of the squad for the past three games after his confrontation with the fans, and Lucas Torreira reportedly unhappy with his role in the side.
Fans seem to be fed up with the man on loan from Real Madrid as they took to Twitter to blast him.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
Send him back to Madrid

Wishing him quick recovery. I have one simple advice for Dani, HE NEEDS TO KEEP IT SIMPLE. In premiership, too many touches invites hard tackles that brings long lasting injuries.
