Many Arsenal fans were delighted after Mikel Arteta seemed to aim a sly dig at arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
In his press conference ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash against Olympiacos, the Spaniard was asked whether Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goals deserved silverware. His response was quite hilarious as he pointed out that Spurs’ Harry Kane has never won the Premier League despite the fact that he has scored 30 goals in a season (via Football Daily).
One fan called his words ‘brutal’.

The Gabon international’s importance to the Gunners can’t be understated, especially due to his contributions in the final third this season. If you were to take away all of his attacking contributions in the top flight, the Emirates Stadium giants would have amassed just 17 points, a tally that would leave them bottom of the division.
