Arsenal: Fans unconvinced by Hakim Ziyech after David Ornstein’s transfer update

Some Arsenal fans lashed out at Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech after David Ornstein provided an update on the player’s potential move to rivals Chelsea.

According to the famed journalist, the west London outfit have verbally agreed on a fee with the Dutch giants for the Morocco international ahead of a move in the summer. The Gunners showed interest in the winger last month, with a €50m (roughly £42.1m) valuation mentioned (via Calciomercato).

However, it seems as though the Blues have stolen a march on potential rivals for a player who has been in breathtaking form this campaign. Despite being a winger, Ziyech averages a mind-boggling 4.7 shots per league game, more mean than any of Mikel Arteta’s men, as per WhoScored.

Despite the north London outfit having been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, it seems as though some Arsenal fans weren’t too bothered about potentially missing out on the playmaker, with one supporter thinking they already have a superior forward in Nicolas Pepe.
