Arsenal fans were lashing out at the club after a statistic about the side’s poor run of form in the Premier League emerged following their draw with Burnley.
Yesterday’s 0-0 result means the Gunners have now won just six of their opening 25 league games, their least amount of victories at this point of the year since the 1912/1913 campaign (via BBC). It also means Mikel Arteta’s team have now drawn their 13th game, the most any top-flight team has managed after 25 fixtures since Manchester United during the 1980/1981 season.
One fan made his feeling on the stat crystal clear.
Liked and then unliked this. Truly shocking season. Hard to believe there are teams that are worse than us in the league this year.
Can’t see us winning the Europa – even if we boss it for a few games, we are guaranteed a performance like that in our run of games. https://t.co/ZziooHLTkM

However, despite the obvious drawbacks, Mikel Arteta came out and praised his team for their defensive resilience as the north London outfit kept their first clean sheet away from home in the league since the 0-0 draw with Everton (via WhoScored). But, fans were less forgiving as they took to Twitter to lambaste the side, and a former coach, after the full-time whistle. Here is a selection of tweets from the Emirates Stadium faithful:
Unai emery actually killed our team completely, destroyed absolutely everything.

Pathetic. Nothing less. This season is a write off. Let’s just hope we don’t get relegated
