Arsenal fans were lauding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amid comments by Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville, who lavished the Gabon international with praise.
The forward was on fire on Sunday as he scored a brace in the side’s 3-2 win over Everton. His first goal saw him coolly slot the ball into the far corner after David Luiz found him with a sensational through-ball (via BBC). He then headed home a second after Nicolas Pepe crossed the ball in from the right-hand side. It was his 16th and 17th goals of the Premier League season, leaving him joint-top of the goalscorers list, alongside Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy.
Neville was full of compliments for the 30-year-old, claiming he doesn’t get the same recognition as other players despite being one of the best in the division (via Sky Sports). He also went on to claim his ranking among the elite needs to ‘re-evaluated’. Fans were left showering the striker with good comments as the former Manchester United defender gave his thoughts.
