Many Arsenal fans are buzzing after seeing a clip of their 18-year-old sensation in action for his country.
A popular Arsenal fan Twitter account, @afcDW, tweeted a video of Bukayo Saka playing for England u19s vs Germany u19s where he picks up the ball at left-back and skips past four players before being taken out by German opposition.
Saka was named in England’s starting XI for Monday’s game with Germany, a game which went onto finish 1-0 to England’s footballing rivals.
At only 18, Saka has already made four appearances for the first-team, making him one of the club’s more attractive prospects. He currently plays for the academy and mainly the U23 side at Arsenal. He’s made one Premier League appearance – he was a part of the side which won 4-1.
Saka, who usually plays on the left-wing for Arsenal (per Transfermarkt), was playing deeper for England during this international break, occupying a deeper position at left-back.
Indeed, these Arsenal fans loved what they saw on Twitter, so much so that one fan even suggested he was better than Arsenal’s summer signing Nicolas Pepe and another stated that he should play ahead of Sead Kolasinac.
Here are some of the responses below…
