It’s getting to that time of year again for an English football fan. The November internationals are now behind us and with a hectic Christmas period followed by the January window, this is the time of year people live for. Arsenal fans, in particular, are excited to see how the next few weeks pan out and have been sharing who their dream January signing would be, with most targetting a wide-man.

The Gunners are lucky enough to have the likes of Unai Emery and Sven Mislintat heading their recruitment process and it looks like they’ll be in luck when it comes to the January window. Most fans are well aware that they’re desperate for a winger and have been suggesting names left, right and centre. Wilfried Zaha remains a fan favourite, although with names like Nicolas Pepe, Hirving Lozano and Ousmane Dembele floating about, it’s an exciting time for Arsenal fans.
In truth, it’s hard to see Emery being given the financial power to go out and splash £50 million on a marquee man, especially in midseason. However, if the Spaniard is given that kind of responsibility then it’s unlikely he’d get it wrong. The Gunners are well placed to fight for a top-four finish and with some mid-season reinforcements then there’s no reason why a Champions League return won’t be on the cards, especially seeing how well Arsenal’s last January signing, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is getting on.

Needs to be a winger or a centre half for me. Then in the summer it’s the one we didn’t strengthen plus a left back and centre mid. 4 quality signings over 2 windows not too much to ask is it?
