Arsenal fans turned on Granit Xhaka after a list of statistics about the midfielder’s defensive game emerged on Twitter.
According to Sky Sports, since the beginning of the 2017-2018 season, Xhaka rates number one in the Arsenal squad for the number of yellow cards received, fouls made, times dribbled past and tackles lost.
The Switzerland international was in the spotlight during the most recent north London derby, giving away a penalty after a foul on Son Heung-Min.
The mistake isn’t the first the midfield man has made in an Arsenal shirt. Back in 2017, during a defeat to Watford, Xhaka was accused of standing at the edge of the box and watching Tom Cleverley strike home the winner in a 2-1 victory for the Hornets (via The Daily Mirror).
Arsenal fans seem to have had enough, as they took to Twitter to have a go at the central midfielder.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
I don’t rate him. Emery must sell him in January for save his job if he want top 4

sometimes, for the sake of the team & as the captain you have to take leadership and let the coach know your best position is right next to him on the bench
