Arsenal: Fans wish Calum Chambers well after he suffers injury nightmare

Arsenal fans were wishing Calum Chambers well after the defender’s injury nightmare was confirmed yesterday.

The club revealed that the English centre-back will be out for up to nine months after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the loss to Chelsea.

Chambers had started to become a prominent feature in the north London outfit’s backline, having featured in 14 of the 20 Premier League games prior to the 2-0 win over Manchester United (via Transfermarkt).

As a result, the club is looking into replacements for the £16.2m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, ace with multiple men around Europe having been picked out.

The Gunners are reportedly after the likes of Dayot Upamecano and Jerome Boateng of Red Bull Leipzig and Bayern Munich, respectively, Nathan Ake of AFC Bournemouth and Daniele Rugani of Juventus.

Following a Twitter post from the club wishing him well, fans were full of good wishes for the player as they took to Twitter to react to the news of his injury.
