Arsenal: Fans react as Houssem Aouar comments on his future
Many Arsenal fans have been reacting to comments made by transfer target Houssem Aouar to Telefoot (via LT Arsenal).
The France international told the outlet: “I’m happy to stay in Lyon. It’s my city, my club: it’s a great pride to represent OL.”
Indeed, this may come as a big blow to some Gunners fans, as the north Londoners were reportedly trying to make a move to sign him from Lyon before the summer transfer window closed last week.

However, the deal never materialised and Aouar has assured his club that he is happy to stay there, meaning that Mikel Arteta’s side may find it even more difficult to sign him.
The 22-year-old would have arguably been a good fit at the Emirates Stadium, as he won a rather impressive 6.2 of his duels per game in Ligue 1 last term, as well as averaging 2.7 successful dribbles, 1.1 tackles and one key pass per match, as per Sofascore.
