Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern will be finishing their week in high spirits, after it was reported the club is edging towards a phenomenal signing.
The Sun cites comments from a journalist, a crucially close-friend of the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, as stating the Swiss international is travelling to London to complete a transfer before Euro 2016.
Xhaka has been heavily linked to Arsenal and has spoken about his admiration for the Premier League, which is a ‘childhood dream’ of his, and the 23-year-old has made it clear he wants his future resolved before a ball is kicked in next month’s tournament.
Now, a close friend of Xhaka, Albanian journalist Artan Muhaxhiri, has claimed on his official Facebook page that a deal is close to completion.
The news won’t come as too much of a shock, with German side Gladbach confirming on their official website this week that they have received an offer from an un-named club, and our landlord thinks this deal will now go through swiftly.
