With things going well right now, the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are indulging in their seemingly annual Arsene Wenger induced love-in.
Though the 67-year-old remains a divisive figure in north London, he’s a certified legend at the club and has enjoyed a strong start to the campaign.
Still, Le Prof is out of contract at the end of the season and whether or not he continues in the role he has conducted for over two decades remains to be seen.
So, reports from the Daily Telegraph have given the Gunners propping up the bar some clarification on the matter.
After the club’s AGM meeting, Stan Kroenke expressed his desire to keep the tactician at the Emirates beyond the extent of his current deal and believes he is STILL the man to take the club forward.
Wenger is understood to be aiming to wait until the end of the season to commit either way, with a lack of silverware or not likely to shape his decision.
“We all recognise the fantastic contribution Arsene Wenger has made”, said the American.
”He continues to have huge energy, passion and desire. We are confident in his ability to take us forward.”
