Now, thanks to reports from the Daily Mirror, the Emirates faithful have been even further frustrated.
According to them, the club are ready to put ALL activity on hold as they await to see if they can convince star duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to extend their deals with the club.
Both are set to see their deals expire next summer and have reportedly been locked in talks, though Arsenal’s failure to truly challenge could scupper their chances of keeping them.
Contract extensions for other players, as well as moving for new transfer targets, are thought to have taken a backseat as top brass desperately await the outcome of talks with both Ozil and Sanchez.
