Arsenal: Fans react as Mesut Ozil is linked to Fenerbahce move

Many Arsenal fans gave mixed responses to a transfer rumour involving Mesut Ozil.

The German midfielder has struggled for game time so far this season, however, these fans still think there is reason to keep the 30-year-old.

So far this season, he has played just 142 minutes over two games against Watford in the league and against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup. Furthermore, he has failed to make the squad on five separate occasions this campaign, leaving a lot of his alleged £350k-per-week wages (according to Spotrac) to go to waste.

A report from Turkish newspaper Takvim (via Sport Witness) suggests that Fenerbahce have opened talks to try and sign Ozil on loan.

It suggests that Ozil is ready to leave Arsenal in January due to his lack of game time, and that Arsenal would also be willing to front some of his massive wages.

Takvim claims that if everything goes to plan, a ‘dream’ transfer could be on the cards for the Turkish side.
