West Ham United picked up their second impressive result on the bounce yesterday after holding capital counterparts Chelsea to a 0-0 draw at the London Stadium. Indeed, while it’s been a difficult start to life in East London for Manuel Pellegrini, a point against the previously perfect Blues side is a good platform from which to build.
Still, as ever with football fans, not everyone was happy. While it was a good enough result, one man in particular invoked the ire of the Irons faithful. Defender Arthur Masuaku had a tough task in dealing with a Chelsea attack boasting the likes of Willian and Eden Hazard, though didn’t quite convince everyone online, despite the fact the Blues’ attackers failed to score.
Not a regular left-back, the 24-year-old still has a long way to go before he can quite convince everyone, especially against the top sides in the Premier League.
With that in mind, here’s a closer look at some of the reaction to Masuaku’s performance.
