Despite winning their second Premier League in three years, the Chelsea fans here at the Transfer Tavern know that a few new faces need to be brought in to help them defend their crown.

Nemanja Matić looks to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge and if the rumours are to be believed, on his way to Old Trafford.

The Serbian international is in his second spell at Chelsea, becoming one of their infamous ‘what could have been’ players however, unlike De Bruyne and Lukaku, he re-joined the Blues and has flourished ever since.

Ever present for Chelsea this season with his most memorable moment being the screamer he hit against rivals Tottenham in the FA Cup, Matic seemed very comfortable in the Chelsea line-up all season long.

Despite good form and a Premier League winners medal, Conte seems to want him out but only if he can find a suitable replacement.

With players getting snapped up left, right and centre, here are TWO suitable replacements for Matic that Conte might want to look at…..

Steven N’Zonzi

The former Blackburn and Stoke City player, N’Zonzi has gone on to play the best football of his career at current club, Sevilla and the world has taken notice.

His calm and composed nature have earned him comparisons to the likes of Arsenal great, Patrick Viera, and watching him play it is easy to see why.

Under a manager like Conte, N’Zonzi would flourish and make a delectable partnership with fellow Frenchman, N’Golo Kante.

Sergio Busquets

Whilst the likes of William Carvalho and Bakayoko seem to be on their way to the Premier League with the latter looking to join Chelsea, Sergio Busquets could be one of the biggest Chelsea signings of recent memory.

He would drive a high price, but in return you get one of the most talented defensive midfielders of his generation.

With the number of high quality midfielders being bought into the ranks at Barcelona, you could see why Busquets may want a new challenge, and what better challenge than helping Chelsea defend the Premier League title.
