Having signed for Barcelona for £107m during the summer, you would have perhaps expected Antoine Griezmann to feature in his strongest position for the Spanish champions this season.

However, the former Atletico Madrid frontman has been used as more of a left-winger by manager Ernesto Valverde so far.
Griezmann has only played three games in his preferred centre-forward position, but scored twice and assisted twice in those three appearances – a telling sign of his effectiveness up front (via Transfermarkt).
Now, with the recent injury to striker Luis Suarez, it is likely that the France international will get more of a chance to shine as the central striker between both Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele on either flank.
Barca fans are clearly excited about the prospect of Griezmann playing in a more central position this evening, when Slavia Prague visit the Camp Nou in the Champions League.
