Barcelona are lining up a replacement for Ivan Rakitic in 2020, according to a report by AS.

Rakitic, 31, has made 10 appearances this season, and has voiced his desire to get more minutes on the pitch.
The Spanish giants are reportedly open to letting the Croatian international leave, with a list of replacements already being drawn up.
The report states that the club are looking at Fabian Ruiz of Napoli, Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid and Rodrigo Bentancur of Juventus to replace Rakitic.
Frenkie de Jong arrived at the club last summer but is apparently thought to be a longer-term replacement for Sergio Busquets.
While central midfield appears to be a priority for the club, they are also looking to acquire a new striker.
AS reports that finding a long-term successor for the 32-year-old Luis Suarez is the top priority of the club’s transfer dealings over the next couple of windows.
Here’s how some Barcelona fans reacted to the latest reports:
Who do we even need in this currently squad? Fabian probably when Busi leaves… Griezmann should be playing CF anyway… Suarez out; Dembele/Fati LW… Perez is backup RW… Alena, Roberto and Puig should be in the running for midfielders… Sorted. Valverde just needs to leave.

Can we work a Busquets replacement? Frenkie isn’t a DM

It’s good to have workhorses who happen to be press resistant. Bentancur should be fine. No need of another high profile signing.
