Barcelona: Fans react to Luis Suarez returning to training

Barcelona front man Luis Suarez hasn’t featured for the club since the season’s opening weekend.

The Uruguayan striker started the Catalans’ 1-0 defeat against Athletic Bilbao last month but had to be prematurely withdrawn from action after picking up a calf injury.

Since then, the former Liverpool man has been a notable absentee for the La Liga champions’ games against Real Betis and Osasuna. Barca have taken four points from six in those two fixtures, and welcome Valencia to the Camp Nou this weekend in a must win game.

With Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele both also missing through injury, the goalscoring duties have fallen heavily onto the shoulders of summer signing Antoine Griezmann, though with a tough match approaching, they could really do with their South American marksman back in time for tomorrow’s clash, even if his appearance comes from the substitutes’ bench.

It’s been confirmed that Messi will again miss this weekend’s visit of Valencia, and Suarez still remains a doubt, according to Sport via 101 goals.

However, the 32-year-old has returned to full training which is obviously great news for the Catalans. Barcelona’s official Twitter account posted an update of Suarez training on Wednesday, but fans didn’t seem all too bothered and were much more concerned about another absentee…
