Luis Suarez has been a terrific servant to Barcelona since arriving at the club from Liverpool in 2014, but is his time at the Camp Nou now coming to an end?
The Uruguayan has scored a hugely impressive 177 goals in 248 appearances for Barca, per Transfermarkt, with 25 of those goals coming last term.
A 25-goal haul in all competitions is a healthy return for a striker, though when you’re comparing his statistics to the season before (2017-18), which saw him find the net 31 times in all comps (Transfermarkt), it shows clear signs that the South American is starting to slow down.
Throughout the 2016-17 campaign, Suarez found the net 37 times in all competitions, and in 2015-16 he scored a colossal 59 goals (all comps), via Transfermarkt. He is not the force he once was – that much is undeniable – and while he still possesses strong qualities, many fans are starting to feel as though he should perhaps now move on from the club (as highlighted below).
It is being reported that David Beckham’s new MLS franchise, Inter Miami, are eyeing Suarez up as their first major transfer next year (via Sky Sports). @BarcaCentre tweeted that news earlier, and plenty of fans have been quick to voice their opinion on the matter.
He should just leave at the end of the summer
