It was a convincing performance which led to a convincing scoreline, once again orchestrated by the great Lionel Messi, who found the net three times to help his side to a win that keeps them ahead of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga on goal difference.

While the credit will deservedly go to the Atomic Flea – who continues to show the world that his DNA is made up of something completely different to the rest of us – there were some fantastic performances from the Blaugrana’s other members, too.
Notably Frenkie de Jong – the young central midfielder who has dazzled the footballing world for just over a year now, playing for the likes of Ajax, Holland and now Barca.
The Dutchman was yet again phenomenal in the heart of midfield this weekend, achieving a match rating of 7.15/10 from WhoScored after registering an astonishing 95.3% pass completion rate against Celta Vigo.
