Manchester United’s attack has found rhythm at just the right time.
Benjamin Sesko has struck six times in his last seven outings, Bryan Mbeumo has rediscovered his spark since returning from AFCON duty, and Matheus Cunha continues to light up matches with his close control and creativity.
Under the guidance of Michael Carrick — who has stepped in until the end of the season — performances have improved significantly, lifting the mood around Old Trafford.
However, while United’s current front line is flourishing, one familiar name could be heading for the exit.
Barcelona Ready to Buy Rashford
Marcus Rashford appears increasingly likely to complete a permanent switch to Barcelona, with the Spanish giants prepared to activate the £26 million clause included in his loan agreement.
The England international joined the Catalan side on loan last summer, with the deal containing an option to buy at a fixed fee. According to Sport, Barcelona are ready to meet that valuation following an impressive campaign.
Rashford has recorded 10 goals and 13 assists across all competitions during his time in Spain, form that has reignited his reputation. His performances have even drawn praise from England teammate Anthony Gordon, who described him as “amazing.”
Having risen through the ranks at Manchester United, Rashford’s career at Old Trafford has been marked by highs and lows. His prospects diminished during Ruben Amorim’s tenure, and despite managerial changes since, a return to the fold does not appear to be on the cards.
With Barcelona prepared to commit £26 million, Rashford’s long association with Manchester United seems set to reach its conclusion. A fresh chapter in Spain has revitalised the forward — and for all parties, a permanent transfer now looks like the logical next step.
