Love him or loathe him, James McClean certainly knows how to make headlines.
Indeed, the Republic of Ireland international sent Wales crashing out of World Cup qualification last night with a stunning late winner for Martin O’Neill’s side, sending his country through to a Play-Off ahead of Russia 2018.
While not the most popular player on the whole, the 28-year-old certainly is well-liked amongst the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern, with the West Brom star never afraid to show his support for the Hoops.
So, following his dramatic winner last night, the Bhoys in the bar have been calling for their beloved club to sign the former Sunderland man as soon as humanly possible.
With McClean quite clearly a huge fan of the green and white cause, it’s a move that makes true and total sense for the punters propping up our bar.
