‘Bottle merchant’ - Rangers fans on Twitter deliver ruthless verdict on key figure after last night

With the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern having watched their side lose to Hamilton and Dundee in recent weeks, the punters propping up our bar feel as if they’re allowed to celebrate last night’s win against Aberdeen. And then some.

Though the Gers remain managerless, Graeme Murty managed to take his side (on an interim basis at least) within three points of the Dons after a resounding 3-0 thumping of Derek McInnes side at Ibrox last night. Indeed, it was a huge result for a side who’ve struggled of late.

Interestingly enough, McInnes was strongly linked with a move to replace Pedro Caixinha before all but ruling himself out of the running in a press conference earlier this month. Well, while he may not be keen, his performance in the dugout last night wasn’t exactly great as an audition.

Outfoxed by Murty, Rangers fans were loving it last night. With that in mind, here’s a look at the reaction on Twitter.

What a game last night. Murty with a tactical masterstroke, McInnes with a mare. Aberdeen were all over the place playing 3 at the back and we exploited that with Windass and Miller making diagonal runs behind wing backs at every opportunity. 1/2
