Bridge Move Would Be A Public Relations Disaster For Arsene

Arsenal are set to make a January move for Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge, according to the Mirror.

The former England international has been frozen out by Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini with the Italian even claiming that Bridge should move on to find playing time.

Arsenal are in need of a left-back with Andre Santos ruled out for three months and could see Bridge as a cheap, short-term solution.

The 31-year-old has a contract with City until 2013 but is unlikely to command a fee having just appeared once this season.

How likely is this to actually happen? Given the miserable impact of Samir Nasri’s departure to the Etihad it’s difficult to believe that the shipping in of a fading City star would be viewed kindly by fans at The Emirates.
