Bruce interested in signing Aarons on permanent deal

Sheffield Wednesday are in with a great chance of securing a play-off place in the Championship as they’re currently only two points off Aston Villa in sixth and three points off Middlesbrough in fifth.

Steve Bruce really has worked wonders since rocking up at Hillsborough and it now looks as if he’s already eyeing a permanent deal for one of the club’s current loan players.

What’s the news?

Steve Bruce is interested in signing Rolando Aarons permanently, according to the Chronicle Live.

It’s understood that his parent club Newcastle will offer the Owls the chance to buy the winger on a permanent deal.

The Jamaica-born winger has been rather impressive during his eight appearances for the Owls in the Championship and they’re currently lacking options out wide, so it makes perfect sense to sign him permanently.

The Verdict:

Rolando Aarons’ pace and skill has already helped him get the better of a number of defenders in the Championship as he continues to create excitement in Sheffield. And, he’s still only 23-years-old, so he has a bright future ahead.

However, he needs to start producing contributions if he is to have a monumental impact on the Owls’ promotion push, but he’s certainly displayed moments of promise which could be the reason behind Bruce’s interest.

Sheffield Wednesday fans, do you think Rolando Aarons has done enough to warrant a permanent place at Hillsborough next season?
