Chelsea fans here in the Tavern head back to work in disappointment after seeing their side drop to fourth, due to the weekend’s results. Antonio Conte’s side were searching for back-to-back titles this year as one of the favourites, though this isn’t how it’s panned out, as Chelsea looked to have lost their way with a title defence already out of sight.
Now, with a top-four spot joining the Champions League as their only aims for this season, Blues fans will be hoping that their side will enjoy a better second-half to the campaign, with a trophy triumph still a possibility.
Nevertheless, in a campaign that’s failed to see Chelsea replicate the inspired form of the last, some of the Blues’ stars may be looking to follow in the footsteps of Diego Costa with a Stamford Bridge exit.
Indeed, One player who’s been linked with a move away to Paris Saint-Germain is PFA Player of the Year N’Golo Kante.
The Frenchman has established himself as one of the best players in the world, after being the focal point in two title-winning seasons in the Premier League, doing oh so much in the centre of the park to keep his team safe from opposition attacks.
Indeed, as Chelsea’s most influential player in the middle of midfield, it’s often been the brilliance of the tireless Kante that’s rewarded the Blues with most of their goals this campaign.
So without further ado, here’s a look at TWO stars that Chelsea need to consider signing as replacements…
Fabinho

The Brazilian is one of the latest stars that Monaco have produced after signing him back in the 2015-16 season.
He operates in a defensive-midfield role that sees him setup in-front of the defence as a guardian, patrolling the midfield, feeding off any scraps and winning the ball back for his side.
Having scored four goals and assisted two already this season, it’s seen him add a creative and goal-scoring threat to his game, that makes him out to be a well-rounded player.
Although, they may face stiff competition from Manchester United to secure the services of the Brazilian, as they’re linked with signing him at the end of the season.
Arturo Vidal

Arturo Vidal has established himself as one of the best midfielders in world football for the past few years now.
Operating in a defensive role that sees him support the attackers at times as a tireless engine in the midfield, having produced five goals and two assists so far this season for German giants Bayern Munich.
Indeed, Antonio Conte has already shown his interest in the South American as Chelsea look to have a deal lined up for the midfielder.
Although it’s never going to be easy to fill the void of N’Golo Kante, Arturo Vidal could be the game-changer that brings a title back to Stamford Bridge.
