Often a pundit on Scottish football, former Tartan Army and Rangers striker Kris Boyd isn’t a popular figure amongst Celtic supporters, that’s for sure.
Indeed, the veteran Kilmarnock marksman recently suggested he knew of things behind the scenes at Parkhead after a difficult start to the campaign for the Hoops, though refused to disclose what the apparent problem in the Celtic ranks was or where it came from.
Seen largely as a joke figure by the green and white army, Boyd’s recent comments (as per the Scottish Sun) claiming that there’s a problem between Bhoys star Leigh Griffiths and both Scotland managers in Alex McLeish and Gordon Strachan haven’t gone down well at all online.
With Griffiths having dropped out of the Tartan Army’s double-header with Israel and Portugal, Boyd has hinted there is a deeper meaning behind the forward’s decision not to make himself available, despite McLeish’s claims otherwise.
So, having said that, here’s a look at what Celtic fans made on Twitter.
Kris Boyd at it again in the jokeRag where does it say anywhere Leigh Griffiths took the hump with McLeish? I’ve yet to see it from an official source yet Boyd dedicates a days tabloid to it!! Getting sick of reading fabricated Celtic stories
