Loads of Celtic fans have been backing Chris Sutton after he revealed his verdict on a controversial incident from Sunday’s Old Firm defeat.
The Hoops must now depend on a slip-up from Steven Gerrard and Rangers in the league title chase, as the Gers placed their destiny into their own hands at Parkhead on Sunday.
In truth, the Hoops were deservedly beaten and Neil Lennon has some serious thinking to do, but Sutton believes there could be a silver lining from Sunday’s defeat.
Writing in The Daily Record, the former Bhoy claimed Rangers star Alfredo Morelos should be banned for five matches for his ‘throat-cutting’ gesture at the end of the match.
The Ibrox outfit have claimed on their official site that the 23 year-old was simply doing a common south American gesture that says something is over – in this case the match.
Sutton however says the SFA must crack down on this behaviour or risk becoming ‘a laughing stock’, and plenty of Celtic fans agree with the BT Sport pundit.

Should get ten, and his three game ban on top, can’t have this in football, it’s not a South America gesture, quick thinking bye his club they have the excuse book down to a tea
