Celtic attacking midfielder Tom Rogic is among several first team players to be omitted by Neil Lennon from the squad for tonight’s Europa League clash away to CFR Cluj.
The Daily Record reported quotes from the Hoops boss saying that the Australian has not travelled to Romania for their concluding Group E fixture, with Fraser Forster, Odsonne Edouard, Callum McGregor, Scott Brown and Ryan Christie also left at home.

With Celtic already confirmed as group winners and therefore with nothing at stake, Lennon has understandably taken the decision to rest a number of first-team regulars.
However, while the other five players mentioned have already featured for 1,800 minutes or more this season, Rogic has had just 551 minutes of game-time and made nine appearances, three of those as a substitute.
The 26-year-old has been dogged by injuries in his time at Parkhead, with knee problems sidelining him for much of the last two years, and he also missed last month’s trip to Lazio with a suspected injury, as per the Daily Record.
These Celtic fans on Twitter questioned the decision to leave Rogic at home for tonight’s match, believing that it would have been an ideal chance for him to get valuable minutes:

Think Tom Rogic (of whom I’m a fan) could have done with some game time

I’m surprised to see that Rogic hasn’t travelled. I thought this would be an ideal game for him to get 90mins. Possibly picked up yet another injury!
