A lot of Celtic fans believe Erik Sviatchenko was a good player who should not have been sold, after a post by Celtic1967.com asked whether the footballer was overrated.
The centre-back signed for the club in January 2016 from FC Midtjylland but ended up going back to the Danish club in July 2018.

Before returning back to his home nation, the defender made 63 appearances in Glasgow, scoring two goals and registering four assists. He also won three league titles and three domestic cups with the Hoops. He clearly he made a good impression judging by the replies to the tweet, with one Celtic fans saying that he was ‘underrated’.
Sviatchenko has also appeared for Denmark five times and is still only 28, so it will be interesting to see if he stays playing football in his home country or if he moves to another European club before he retires.
Here is what some Celtic fans had to say following the tweet:

Under appreciated. Did make some mistakes, but those who replaced him did as well only theirs were ignored. I think he could’ve become a fine Celtic player if given the opportunity. And in the age of Open Goal Media, the more intelligent people in Scottish football the better.
